Although it is impossible to actually visit an art gallery at the moment, while strict social distancing is being enforced in so many countries, you can still visit 'virtually'
Today I have visited the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia. www.barnesfoundation.org/ With the aid of their well constructed website I have made new discoveries and said hello to some familiar artists' work. Albert Barnes taught people to look at works of art primarily in terms of their visual relationships. This means you can find a picture and then see how it relates to others in the collection : either where it is placed in the gallery, or by selecting by colour, composition, light and tone. It leads to many happy discoveries and a very good way to spend an hour over tea, wherever you are I found these : by Matisse (Studio with Goldfish) , Soutine (Group of trees) and Renoir (Bowl Figs Apples)
